NBR COMPOUND

Nitrile Butadiene Rubber or NBR is a synthetic copolymer composed of acrylonitrile and butadiene. NBR possesses extensive physical and chemical properties and has greater strength and is more resistant to oils and chemicals than natural rubber.

NBR can be used in combination with natural, isoprene, butadiene and butadiene-styrene rubbers, which are added to improve the technological properties of rubber compounds and increase the frost resistance of rubber. NBR is a popular choice of compound for automotive & aerospace applications as it can endure temperatures between −40 to 108 °C (-40 and 226 °F).

Few of the Salient Features of NBR Compounds made at Surya Masterbatches are:

  • Excellent heat and oxidation stability
  • High mechanical strength
  • Improved wear resistance
  • Good in water and steam
